Chinese dinukot, ninakawan ‘itinapon’ sa daan

MANILA, Philippines — Isang Chinese na umano’y dinukot at pinagnakawan sa Parañaque City saka dinala ng kanyang mga abductor sa Cavite.
Natagpuan ng ilang concerned citizen ang biktimang si Weng Peng Xiao sa kalsada sa Barangay Pasong Buaya II sa Imus City dakong alas-7:30 ng umaga. Ayon sa biktima, tatlong lalaki kabilang ang dalawang Chinese at isang Pinoy ang ninakawan siya sa Brgy. Tambo sa Parañaque dakong alas-2 ng madaling araw.
Puwersahan umano siyang pinasakay ng mga suspect sa sasakyan at ibiniyahe pa-Cavite.
Natangay umano ng mga suspects ang kanyang tatlong cellphones, bank cards at maging ang kanyang driver’s license.
Nagsasagawa na ng masusing imbestigasyon ang pulisya para matukoy ang mga suspect.

24 Chinese, Vietnamese women rescued from human traffickers

MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-four foreigners believed to be victims of human trafficking were rescued in Parañaque on Monday night, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported yesterday.
The victims – 14 Vietnamese and 10 Chinese women – were rescued by police during a raid on a condominium complex in Barangay Tambo at around 11:30 p.m., according to PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Jose Chiquito Malayo.
Malayo said the operation stemmed from an intelligence report that several Asian women were being kept against their will in a condominium building in Parañaque.
Two Chinese men who were guarding the victims were arrested during the operation, Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office, said.
Police said they are preparing criminal charges against Du Wei, 36, and Fang Zeng, 28.
Estomo said they would endorse the victims to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for debriefing and counseling.
