The National Unity Government (NUG)
- According to the NUG End of Dictatorship, it started with the sale of the land in Mandalay, confiscated by the junta army, for a housing project and within hours, they could raised nearly 9,000,000 USD from the sale.
- Ayadaw Township Public Administration announced that they and CDM healthcare staff provided local people with medical check-ups free of charge and conducted educational talks.
- On Sunday, the NUG Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation announced that it would take legal action against management-level officers and other staff who had been selling state-owned gold for the military junta.
- U Lwin Ko Latt, the NUG Minister of Home Affairs, said that thanks to the effort of members of the special investigation force, the security and administration sectors became powerful and managed to increase the momentum of the military operation.
Revolutionary Activities
- In the north of Yinmabin Township in Sagaing Region, a combined rally of three local villages led a march against the military dictatorship on Sunday.
- In Longlone Township in Tanintharyi Region, the junta Pyu Saw Htee members were attacked near Kyauknimaw Village and Kyaukmattat Village on 29 September. Reportedly, two of them died on the spot and two others were injured. According to a local PDF, the injured ones perished later.
- In North Okkalapa Township in Yangon Region, No. (3) the Basic Education High School Students’ Union conducted an anti-junta movement on Sunday.
- In the city of Yangon, an alliance of the Basic Education Students’ Union (Central) protested against the military dictatorship on Sunday, holding signs for the revolution.
- In Hlaingthaya Township, an urban guerrilla group, CLDF, conducted a warning explosion at the junta social security center on Sunday morning.
- In Usan in South Korea, the 25th march against Myanmar’s military dictatorship was held on Sunday.
- In Mon State, a military convoy was attacked twice by a local guerrilla force on Yay-Thanphyuzayat Road on Saturday morning. Reportedly, there were casualties among 10 junta soldiers.
- In Bangkok, Thailand, there was a second football match to raise funds for “PDF, UG” on Sunday.
- Somewhere in Monywa Township, local youths and students got together and protested against the military dictatorship, chanting anti-junta slogans.
- On Saturday, the Western Chindwin Strike Committee marched for Myanmar’s Ambassador to the UN U Kyaw Moe Tun and against the military dictatorship, raising banners that said “Accept our NUG Ambassador, Reject the Dictator“.
- CDM soldier Biza Khine said that junta soldiers should reflect on themselves in accordance with military ethics, desert the junta army and join the public.
- In Pakkoku Township in Magwe Region, a combined force of 16 local PDFs attacked the junta army stationed in Inbin Village. According to Young Force UG, three junta soldiers died.
- In Myingyan Township in Mandalay Region, local PDFs attacked the junta army stationed in Myaukgyun Village school on Saturday.
- On their way back, PDF members captured the wife of a junta army officer and their child. However, they released both of them.
- On 29 September, the wife of Sean Turnell, Australian economic advisor of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Su Kyi, called for his deportation.
Ethnic Armed Organisations
- In KyaIn Seikgyi Township under control of the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade (6), military officer Myo Ko Ko Win from the junta army Ka-Ma-Ya (432) was injured and two junta soldiers, including a captain, died in the bomb attacks carried out with drones on 30 September.
- In Kyaukgyi Township under KNU Brigade (3), two people died and five others were injured by junta mortar fire.
- On Sunday, Mobye PDF announced that it had lost nine members whereas no less than 80 junta soldiers had died in the battles in the area during September. Reportedly, there was still military tension.
The Military Council
- According to CDM soldiers, the military junta has been adopting a strategy of counter-guerrilla attacks.
- On Friday, the junta Central Bank of Myanmar announced that local fuel oil importers could also make payments in Chinese Yuan via Trade Financing.
- According to the junta port authorities, 50 international cargo ships will arrive at the ports in Yangon for trade in October.
- The Central Bank of Myanmar announced that seven private banks have opened Special Counters at their 48 branches for payments from buying and selling gold.
- According to the junta Myanmar Fishery Business Association, 16 ships from Russia would soon arrive for technical cooperation in the fishery sector in Myanmar waters.
Summary on 3 October
- In his visit to livestock farms, the junta leader claimed that it was necessary to be able to buy eggs and meat cheaply. In the past, he used to say that it was necessary to export such products. After his coup, the cost of living has skyrocketed and households at the grass-roots level could not afford to buy meat or eggs. Instead of such visits to farms, he should consult experts for the solution.
- On every battlefield, the junta armed forces faced great losses and thus, they began to adopt a strategy of guerrilla attacks. In fact, the military junta led by Min Aung Hlaing has been using various foul ways to fight revolutionary forces.
