Man due in court charged with murder of woman in Lewisham
Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Lewisham have charged a man with murder.
Joshua Michals, 24 (08.09.99), of Deals Gateway SE13, was charged on Friday, 22 March.
He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 23 March.
An investigation was launched after we were called shortly before 23:15hrs on Wednesday, 20 March to reports of a stabbing at an address in Manor Park SE13.
Officers responded with paramedics and forced entry to the address.
A 31-year-old woman was found injured inside. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she died at the scene a short time later.
Her next of kin have been informed and they will be supported by family liaison officers.
Formal identification has not yet taken place.

Officers name victim of Lewisham murder
Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Lewisham have named her.
While formal identification has not yet taken place, officers are confident she is Zhe Wang, a Chinese national who was studying in London. She was aged 31. Her next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.

He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 23 March.
He then appeared at the Central Criminal Court on Wednesday, 26 March. The next hearing will be on Wednesday, 11 June. A trial is set for January 2025.
Police believe the defendant and victim were known to each other.
